Ugly. Unreal. Bizarre. No matter what adjective you choose, it's probably appropriate for the Chiefs win in the New Orleans today. But it was indeed a win. More to the point, it was a Chiefs team with passion, spirit, fire and heart, a Chiefs team that made the adjustments they needed to make and kept coming and coming like the Energizer Bunny.

Matt Cassel didn't look pretty at times, much like the officiating crew. But he and the team got the job done. Jamaal Charles looked like, well ... Jamaal Charles. Bowe had it going on, Tony Moeaki chipped in, Dex made some plays and there was even a Jonathon Baldwin sighting. And on Defense I can't say enough about the Secondary and the LB's. Justin Houston with THREE sacks, are you kidding me? Derrick Johnson playing like the All-Pro we know he can be. The Chiefs with over 500 yards of total offense to under 300 for the Saints, in their house.

And for the record: Cassel with 26 of 44 for 248 yards and a completion percentage of 59.1 compared to Drew Brees going 20 of 36 for 240 yards and a completion percentage of 55.6. Sure, Brees had 3 TD tosses to 0 for Cassel, but both tossed 1 INT. The point While Cassel didn't set the world on fire, he played about as good as his counterpart, one of the best in the game, good enough for the Chiefs to make a stunning comeback. And yes, good enough for the Chiefs to win.

Feels good, doesn't it?
