I shouldn't have to write posts like this but after last year I feel like I should. The Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons escaped without any serious injuries.

With the injuries in the game, there were no major injuries. Every game, there are bumps and bruises. Everybody was here working today, trying to get themselves loose, trying to work the soreness out and beginning to get ready for next week.

Considering the season-ending injury suffered by Falcons' Brent Grimes, it's a good feeling knowing the Chiefs are unscathed.

The Chiefs can't afford any (more) injuries right now. Brandon Flowers and Derrick Johnson are the two big names with Flowers sitting out last week. DJ, meanwhile, played every snap in the game.
