I keep seein' all the fuss that we need another DB and wonder why? I thought we had a pretty good group of players, still thinks so too. So explain to me what is so bad about the guys we have. I think we are in much better shape than last year at this time. Now that Lewis ain't startin' I'm real happy. Make your case why a DB is more important than QB?
As far as I understand, Flowers will return sooner rather than later. Brown isn't in to bad of condition and Daniels is back. Where is this big need? You must realize that i am not adverse to bringing in talent, but to think we are in dire straights is bogus. Personally I worry more about the QB situation, Quinn may be worse than previously thought, his play has been uninspired. Now he is hurting, how bad isn't known. Stanzi hasn't shown he could be the man like the rookie in Houston last year, so I'm thinking we really need help. Seeing the report that we are interested in the young gun that the Eagles released is awakening some embers of want from me.
So we sign another DB, who goes off the roster? A different DB than what we sign? Who goes and who stays? These guys we have are a known commodity unlike a guy we bring in. Just trying to understand the logic that we need to bring a new guy in the DB rotation. This would be a different conversation if Flowers has an achilles situation, but we've heard nothing but good news recently. This first game will test hard the players here already, as we all know about the guy suspended and some rumoured but unknown facts about injured guys. Even if we sign someone we will play with the guys we have already. So buckle up you chin straps, these games count from here on out. Go Chiefs!!!
