The Kansas City Chiefs have the day off today, although that doesn't mean the day is void of football. In fact, tonight is the official NFL Hall of Fame game, which means there's an actual preseason game being played. Tonight's action features the Arizona Cardinals against the New Orleans Saints, which means a lot of talk about the recent bounty scandal and a look at a new Saints coaching staff.
It's also a chance to look at the Cardinals before they arrive in St. Joseph, Missouri this week to practice with the Chiefs. On Tuesday, the teams will practice together and it should provide a fun fan experience and interesting media opportunity to see the fans up close. Scott Pioli has also said it's a great way to check out another roster full of players.
As for Chiefs' news, however, there's very little to speak of today. The players are resting from a week's worth of practices and coaches are likely starting to make some calls on players they like and what weaknesses are still apparent as the team looks forward to their first preseason game.
