We probably won't be surprised by his answer but Romeo Crennel says the Kansas City Chiefs backup quarterback question will be answered on Monday. Crennel was asked on Saturday night about the No. 2 quarterback competition between Brady Quinn and Ricky Stanzi and said the final decision had not yet been made.

"I'm close to making that decision," Crennel said. "And I'll probably be able to let you know something on Monday."

I'll play spoiler: Brady Quinn will be the No. 2.

Quinn came in on Friday night with about three and a half minutes left in the third quarter; Stanzi didn't play at all. That kinda tells you the story right there.

Quinn is the only logical answer to the question. Quinn hasn't looked like a Pro Bowler by any means but compared to Ricky Stanzi he's close. Stanzi has consistently struggled throughout the preseason. He looks like he's a fifth round pick working in his second year which...he is.

We'll wait for the official word on Monday.
