Coach Carroll announced on Tuesday that Russell Wilson will be the starter for Friday's game in Kansas City and the Seahawks had some visitors at VMAC today for a friendly competition.
Anyone kinda disappointed about this?
I really hate facing a rookie QB in the all-important third preseason game for two reasons:
1. If Russell Wilson torches us, it's pretty bad news for our defense.
2. If our defense beats the crap out of a rookie QB, well....he was a rookie. Not that impressive.
I'd rather face a legit NFL starter so we can get a true picture/test for our defense in our most important preseason game.
I suppose, if we just completely shut down Seattle that's a pretty good sign, though. That's what you're supposed to do to rookie QBs.
But I'm still kinda miffed about this news. It's almost a no-win situation. And I figure Russell will just run away from Poe every time. :)
3 preseason games:
Skelton
Bradford
Wilson
Haven't really been tested, and Romeo's not gonna play the starters long against GB.
Me no likey.
