I am not one who predicts who best fits on the roster or what plays we should run to provide a pathway for Chief prosperity. I humbly accept that the coaches/past players/ and many fans know more about the nuts and bolts of putting together a successful team than I do. What I would like to see is some tangible evidence of Pioli's lip service to wanting versatile football players.

The NFL is a copycat league. I believe the train has already left the station without the chiefs being on it for the current trend of "passing league". There are not enough talent out their to provide every team an elite QB.......OK fine then lets build the next model of success without having an elite QB.

With the talent we have locked up and with NFL teams trying to field defenses manned to stop the passing threat I say the time is now to exploit the running game. Shaun Smith is not the player to get if we want a top five defense. Pioli did not give him his money demands last year and now the Titans have decided he was not worth the money they were paying him. But by God if Shaun Smith has the cabability to provide us some defensive line snaps as well as be that devastating roadgrader fullback then by God lets enlighten some NFL fans with how entertaining smash mouth football can be and wreck havoc on the misfortunate teams that have to game plan against the chiefs with their passing defenses.
