Following the news that Tamba Hali has been suspended one game for violating the NFL's policy on substance abuse, Kansas City Chiefs GM Scott Pioli issued the following statement:
"Tamba's situation is unfortunate," said Kansas City Chiefs General Manager Scott Pioli. "Obviously, we are disappointed and will miss him during this suspension, but the NFL's policies are very clear and we respect the league's decision in this matter. We are unable to comment further on this matter or any aspect of the NFL's Drug Policy."
Unfortunate and disappointed are good ways of putting it. I'm not even sure what to think right now but I hope we get to hear Tamba's side of this. Some players throughout the course of their career have earned the benefit of the doubt; I think Tamba is one of those guys.
Much more to come on this news...
