Same Story With Brandon Flowers' Injury This Week

The story on Brandon Flowers for this week is the same as it has been for the last two. He'll try to practice but KC Chiefs head coach Romeo Crennel couldn't say for sure whether he actually would. Crennel said on Sunday night that there is "nothing new" with Flowers and his injured heel.

"He got treatment over the weekend and then we'll see tomorrow what he looks like and what he can do," Crennel said.

Crennel said last week that Flowers has seen various doctors to get a better timetable on how long he could be out. The Chiefs are probably hoping and waiting just like we are that the injury heals.

This is tough to deal with just because the Chiefs don't have to very often. Flowers was a 16-game starter last year. He missed two games in the previous two years combined. This defense isn't used to playing without him and that was evident at times on Saturday night.

So this week's update on Brandon Flowers is the same as it was last week and the week before that.
