As we expected, Brandon Flowers will not be playing when the Kansas City Chiefs meet the St. Louis Rams on Saturday. Flowers has now missed over two weeks of practice with a heel injury, something we initially thought wouldn't cost him more than a practice or two.
Crennel said Flowers has been seeing various doctors past couple of days to figure out why injury isn't healing fast enough.

Crennel added on Flowers that injury isn't necessarily worse than first expected. Still worried about the lengthy heal time.

What I gather from this is that the Chiefs really don't know when he'll be back. That could be bad. Maybe not though. We just don't know. The positive of this (if there is one, which there isn't) is that we will get a better look at Jalil Brown and other cornerbacks on the roster.
Also not playing on Saturday, according to Josh Looney: Cyrus Gray, Ethan Johnson, Cam Sheffield and De'Quan Menzie. The status of Travis Daniels and Junior Hemingway, who have both been banged up, is still undetermined at this time.
