Ah yes. another speculative fantasy for a way to resolve the Bowe situation. The other day another poster presented us with some teams that might have pressing need of a of proven WR who is capable of making plays. Also included in that post was the possibility of trading and getting ammo for a run at a QB next draft. Personally, I am one of Dwayne's detractors, not sure if he comes through with a big catch when the money is on the line. So what's another fantasy?
Bring Jacksonville's unsigned #1, WR Blackmon, to KC in exchange for Bowe. I know it's never going to happen, it's just a fantasy. But a rookie who has great ability like this kid will make us forget Bowe. Imagine Baldwin and Blackmon lining up together.
OK, just for a bit though-cause I'm then going to trade him to Cleveland for their #1 pick in next year's draft. Remember the new QB in Cleveland has extensive and productive experience together with Blackmon at Okie State, and would put the RIGHT piece of the puzzle in their build up there in Cleveland. Net result is we get a high pick, most likely a spot or two higher than where Blackmon went this year and, AND, get's us the future QB we so desperately desire. OK, OK already, I told you it was a fantasy.
The bad thing is we would lose out on Bowe's production this season. It still remains to be seen how long the Holdout lasts. Could be he is pissed and hold's out until the late in the season before he signs and keeps the all important NFL benefits and retirement in effect. Kinda of like the old coach and his final theactric's before he was given the boot. Or like the guy who did it to Dago and signs a 55 million contract with another team. Dreams and fantasies!
Before I end this I have to ask if anyone else thinks we might be trading a DB to one of several needy teams? There are several teams in need and we have some good, proven guys other teams covet and might be willing to meet Scotty's price. It would make room for some of the young up-and-comers on our roster. Peace be with you and Go Chief's!!!
