The Chiefs have signed all of their draft picks except for first-round defensive tackle Dontari Poe.

electionconfidential,
What do you know about football, besides looking at stats? Did you know that Poe played more than 5 different positions each game for Memphis? Or that, at 350 pounds, he played every snap? Or that Romeo Crennell, who has coached Ted Washington and Vince Wilfork, was absolutely thrilled to get Poe?
If he had played for a major 3-4 team like Georgia for instance, Poe would have been a glamorous NT prospect. So tired of people just repeating what other ignorant pundits have said.

Well, Dontari has not made a dime yet. I don't know if players such as Poe get anything for off-season workouts. Maybe something for the mandatory workouts. NFL contracts are usually paid out on gameday during the regular season (1/16 of the contracted amount). Dontari Poe has clearly made the Choice to give everything he currently has to the the Kansas City Chiefs in 2012. Nothing, but a drafted position. An Injury Clause.
I myself have been impressed with everything Dontari Poe has appeared to be this off-season. I can see why Romeo Crennel and Scott Pioli were so impressed to find a kid like this for a position they have been trying to fill for a number of years. Dontari has worked for basically food for this off-season. I hope we fed him well :)
