The Kansas City Chiefs officially announced the signing of former Baltimore Ravens linebacker Edgar Jones and also announced Kyle McCarthy has been placed on injured reserve, ending his season before it even started.

Jones worked out for the Chiefs on Sunday which should've been our first clue that McCarthy's injury was serious. Jones comes from the Baltimore Ravens where he played linebacker and tight end. The signing was announced by his agent late last night.

McCarthy injured his knee in Saturday's practice. I figured it would be a bad injury because it appeared to come in a non-contact part of practice. Non-contact injuries usually aren't good. We haven't heard the official diagnosis but I'm cringing thinking about those three letters.
