November 20, 2011; Baltimore, MD, USA; Baltimore Ravens assistant head coach Jerry Rosburg calls the defense over to met with he and linebacker Edgar Jones (56) before a goal line play against the Cincinnati Bengals at M&T Bank Stadium. Mandatory Credit:

On Sunday the Kansas City Chiefs worked out free agent defensive end/linebacker Edgar Jones.

Later on Sunday, the Chiefs signed him. This according to Jones' agent. The news came down late last night, wayyy past my bedtime, so I'm just getting to it now.

Jones can do a number of things, which is probably why the Chiefs like him. He can play linebacker, which is what he did at Baltimore. He can also play some tight end, which he did at Baltimore as well.

Jones entered the league in 2007 so he's not that old. He's an interesting prospect but we'll have to wait and see how the Chiefs plan to use him.
