Since the Cassel haters seem to hang their hat on this stat, and my feeling is it’s a totally random, meaningless stat, one of a zillion you can use to boost or knock a particular guy, I decided to research it for the 2011 season. I think my findings verify how totally random and meaningless it is. Some great QB’s sucked in this stat(Stafford, Cam), some great QB’s were mediocre in this stat(Ben, Brady, Eli, ), some bums were good in this stat(Orton, Feeley), some decent QB’s killed it(Flacco, Alex Smith), some lousy QB’s killed it in short sample sizes(Yates), etc., etc. It’s about as random and meaningless a QB stat as I’ve come across.
