The low 20s seems to be the consensus for the Kansas City Chiefs in the various 2012 NFL power rankings out there. Peter Schrager of Fox Sports last week had them at No. 20, Pro Football Talk had them at No. 21, SB Nation had them at No. 21 and now CBSSports.com has them at No. 22.

The CBSSports.com blurb:

It's all about Matt Cassel, who might be in a make-or-break season. Is he good enough?

The quarterback is the big question for every team, especially the Chiefs. We've gone over Cassel ad nauseum so there's not much else to say other than, yeah, he's really important this year.

It's interesting to see that the Chiefs are the lowest ranked AFC West team in the CBSSports.com rankings. Adam Caplan had the opposite -- the Chiefs as the top AFC West team. (Bonus points to Caplan for having the Chiefs ranked higher than anyone else I've seen.)

Many of you think the 20s is too low for the Chiefs. Our poll yesterday asking if No. 21 was a fair ranking for KC had 70 percent of people say it was too low, 7 percent say it was too high and 21 percent say too low.
