Well, well, well. Right after I finished that last post about it being super hot in St. Joe for Kansas City Chiefs training camp I noticed KQ2 up in St. Joe had a story talking about what they're doing at Missouri Western State University to beat the heat.
Those bleachers at training camp where you bake in the sun all day? Shade tents are-a-comin'.
Even more tents than last year will start to pop up on the sidelines of the practice field.
"That's a little different from what we've had before," McGuffin said. "We didn't offer as many shade tents on the sides and the sidelines other than the bleachers. We're going to put bleachers underneath those tents. So it's going to be a little different. We're looking at the fan experience, because we know it's hot."
Oh wow. I think this will make a HUGE difference.
Giving water away for free in 100-degree weather would be nice as well. Accepting credit cards (it isn't 1996 anymore) would be nice, too. Old Man Thorman brought me over a mister the other day. Those could be installed under the shade tents, too.
