We've seen a handful of draft pick signings over the last few days, including two today. Riley Reiff agreed to terms with the Detroit Lions and David DeCastro signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers. After Andrew Luck's signing over the weekend, that means we have eight unsigned first round picks.
One of those unsigned draft picks is the Kansas City Chiefs 11th overall pick, Dontari Poe. We haven't heard of any problems with the negotiations so I'm still operating under the assumption that Poe will be there on Friday when camp opens up. The Chiefs don't announce these deals until pen hits paper so it's possible that the deal is done and they're just waiting for Poe to arrive in KC and officially sign it.
We should be seeing the majority of these guys signing this week.
The other unsigned first round picks include picks No. 3-6 -- Trent Richardson (Cleveland Browns), Matt Kalil (Minnesota Vikings), Justin Blackmon (Jacksonville Jaguars) and Morris Claiborne (Dallas Cowboys). Also unsigned is No. 8 Ryan Tannehill (Miami Dolphins), No. 20 Kendall Wright (Tennessee Titans) and No. 23 Brandon Weeden (Cleveland Browns).
After Dontari Poe, Dwayne Bowe is the big signing we're waiting on. He has yet to sign his franchise tender that will pay him more than $9 million in 2012.
