Did I heard what I think I heard at the MLB All-Star game?
Something named a Luke Bryan was singing the national anthem and near the end I was listening for it.
For what? You know what. The "...home of the Chiefs" thing at the end of the Star Spangled Banner that you hear at Arrowhead Stadium (understandable), Allen Fieldhouse (weird) and, apparently, Kauffman Stadium (even weirder).
It sure sounded like a segment of fans saying "...home of the Chiefs!" can be heard.
We have video (and audio!) of the incident in question below. If you ask me, the video isn't totally clear. You definitely hear something. But a clear "...Chiefs!"? Let us know in the comments what you think.
I asked on Twitter if others heard the "...home of the Chiefs!" thing and sure enough they confirmed I'm not crazy. (Well...)
Somewhere Bill Self cringes. "@ArrowheadPride: Was that a "...home of the Chiefs" I heard? We'll have the video report soon."— Nathan Rebarchek (@nrebarchek) July 11, 2012
