The Chiefs Traded Trent Green 5 Years Ago Today

Five years ago today the Kansas City Chiefs traded QB Trent Green to the Miami Dolphins for a conditional fifth round pick that could upgrade to a fourth round pick (it didn't). I was perusing our archives to see what we were talking about on this day in the past few years and came up with this Green stuff. Can't believe it's been five years already.

I also forgot how drawn out the Trent Green trade was. Looking at our archives, Chris was very happy that it was all over.

June 5, 2007:

Dear Lord. Is it true? Indeed it is. Trent Green is headed to the Miami Dolphins for a 5th round pick that could become a 4th round pick. No word on the conditions. Our long national nightmare is over.

June 6, 2007:

62 posts. Thats how many posts I've/we've done since February about Trent Green being traded. And I am sure glad this trade finally got done.
