The Kansas City Chiefs this week saw free agent defensive end Wallace Gilberry sign with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Chiefs had interest in re-signing Gilberry at one point last season but nothing ever materialized.
Gilberry, who many of us thought fit best as a defensive end in a 4-3 defense, said he was excited about returning to the 4-3.
"I'm excited," Gilberry said. "They gave me the opportunity to come back to a 4-3 defense. I hadn't played in that since college. It's new but it feels like I'm home again."
This is probably his best defense, even though his best season to date came in the Chiefs 3-4 during his seven-sack 2010 season.
Mark your calendars for October 14 in Tampa Bay when the Chiefs will meet Gilberry's Bucs.
