Chris Berman Will Call A MNF Game

Stay connected for news and updates

I never realized this but ESPN's Chris Berman has never done the play-by-play an NFL game. Luckily (or not), that will be changing this season. Berman and Trent Dilfer will call the Chargers-Raiders Monday Night Football game to open the season.

The Chargers-Raiders game is the second of Monday Night Football's double-header in Week 1 (as you should remember from the Chiefs hosting the same game two years ago).

Berman and Dilfer will also be calling a preseason game to prepare.

Like many football fans, I've been Berman'd out for a while now. It's almost as if ESPN is trolling sports fans by placing Berman on that stage.

Anyone happy about this latest development?
