Today is the day that LaDainian Tomlinson officially announces that he's hanging up his cleats at the age of 32, after an incredible NFL career that will undoubtedly take him straight into the Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio once he's eligible in 2018.

For Chiefs fans, the sight of Tomlinson twice a year on the schedule gave the team an up-close-and-personal look at perhaps the greatest running back of his generation.

Against Kansas City alone, Tomlinson rushed for 1,504 yards in a career and he now retires as the NFL's fifth all-time leading rusher. He's also third in touchdowns with 162.

Tomlinson's press conference begins at 1pm Central Time. You will be able to catch a live stream of the press conference at the Chargers official website. Until that time, you can also catch video highlights of LT's career here.
