It's been a few months since Brandon Carr left the Kansas City Chiefs for the Dallas Cowboys. Offseason reports out of Dallas are saying Carr was worth every penny of the $50.1 million contract Jerry Jones gave him in March.
The Dallas Morning News called him "undoubtedly" the best defensive back on the field for the Cowboys this offseason, which is helped by the fact that sixth overall pick Morris Claiborne has yet to take the field.
Rob Ryan, like his brother Rex, isn't shy about showering praise on players, including Carr. Here's what he said a couple weeks ago:
"I knew he was great, but the guy is special," Rob Ryan said. "He shuts down everybody. He can cover anybody. He's got long arms, great length, and he's a great person, who works his tail off. He takes coaching, and I'm really impressed with him."
Sounds like Carr won't be slowing down just because he's in another city.
