The Kansas City Chiefs players are going to be off for a few weeks until training camp. Maybe not truly "off" from staying in-shape and studying the playbook but there won't be any team-organized practices until the end of July when training camp picks up.
That means the players will have some free time coming up. Romeo Crennel said on Wednesday, "Nothing good happens after midnight."
No, wait. That was Herm Edwards.
Here's what Romeo said yesterday when asked about his parting words to the players:
"We'll talk to those guys tomorrow about being away from here and the things that happen when you're away, and decision making. Make good decisions, the right decisions because it impacts everybody, not only your teammates, the coaching staff, your team, the community, the owner and all of those things. So, we remind them of those things before they go."
A Chiefs player has been the victim of a crime lately, but all's been quiet on the other side of the law.
