Brian Banks did arrive in Kansas City and he did work out for the Chiefs on Tuesday. The Chiefs were the third team to bring Banks in for a workout after tryouts with the Seattle Seahawks and San Diego Chargers.
Assuming the Chiefs aren't about to announce they've signed him, Banks will now go onto Seattle to participate in the final two days of the Seahawks minicamp.
Chiefs coach Romeo Crennel confirmed yesterday that Banks was in the building but that his workout in front of coaches wouldn't take place until later that afternoon.
Banks is a former top high school linebacker who planned on playing for Pete Carroll at USC before he was hit with serious charges, including rape. Over five years of jail and house arrest, and Banks was exonerated after the woman admitted she made the accusations up.
This is a heck of a story and I hope it ultimately results in Banks getting a training camp shot, whether it's with the Chiefs or someone else.
