As noted yesterday, Brian Banks is working out for the Kansas City Chiefs this week, As not noted yesterday, Banks' workout comes today. The Chiefs open their mandatory minicamp today and one of the players will be a tryout.
Banks was exonerated of rape charges last month, accusations that date back 10 years. He did prison time and spent time on house arrest for something that was later found to be made up.
Because of his story, teams are eager to give him a second chance considering he was a top-rated high school recruit about to go play for Carroll at USC.
Banks tried out for the Seattle Seahawks last week and head coach Pete Carroll invited him to the Seahawks minicamp, which starts today. He also worked out for the San Diego Chargers, but left without a contract. After the Chiefs, he heads to Seattle for the Seahawks minicamp on Wednesday and Thursday. After that, both the Minnesota Vikings and San Francisco 49ers are interested in setting up workouts, according to reports.
With all these workouts, Banks could surprise me and end up in training camp someplace.
