There is talk that the Chiefs are going to try and extend Albert during the 2012 season. Kansas City took him with the 15th-overall pick in 2008, and it wasn't until last year that he proved to be a reliable NFL left tackle. The Chiefs have a potential contingency plan in rookie lineman Donald Stephenson if Albert and the team can't agree on a long-term deal. But if Albert plays well in the first half of the season, one can expect him to land a lucrative long-term extension.
