OOPS!! What the hell am I doing discussing the idea of individual accomplishment when it is a TEAM effort that get's the ring? Well to be honest, the accolades that the Pro Bowl recognition delivers is partly from these guys peers. That's right, unless I have misunderstood, both coaches and player's vote on the guys who get elected to the honor of a current years Pro Bowl Player. We haven't had so many lately, certainly we see some guys getting some recognition since Scott has arrived, although a couple have been backdoor'd in, as other player's left the list and game due to injury or other scenario.
Anyway, I got to considering this season, and the talent that has been widely acclaimed here on AP, and had to ask..... Which Chief's get the nod for this peer driven award? We all have an idea of which player's are plenty good at what they do, both from seeing these guys play and from sifting through the several web sites that cater to us fans. Tamba Hali, Derrick Johnson, Jamaal Charles and Dwayne Bowe are familiar to us as guys who have deservedly had this recognition. Both Matt Cassel and Eric Berry received invites to the game after other players backed out due to whatever reason. EB will not find to many detractors about his future selection, but our QB is not beloved so much and will have his work cut out for his consideration in the future.
So then we have guys like Brandon Flowers who have a very strong following around this site and city, but maybe not so much the rest of the nation. Players who may get some consideration are our much maligned DE's, Dorsey and Jackson. Others who have talent and an opportunity to excel and gain recognition abound. Guys like Houston and Albert, or Baldwin, Boss or Moeaki. So I am asking the faithful to help me out with why who goes this year from our team the CHIEF'S!!!!!
