We'll see if it lasts but Kansas City Chiefs first round pick Dontari Poe is lining up with the starters at the Chiefs OTAs, according to the Chiefs' Josh Looney. At last check, Poe was lining up behind veteran Amon Gordon.
It's still May, which is incredibly early. This doesn't mean Poe will or won't be the starter but it's a step in the right direction for the Chiefs first round pick.
Earlier this year, Romeo Crennel was quoted as saying he never lets rookies immediately become starters, noting that he didn't let Eric Berry run with the first team on the first day.
He wanted until the second day.
Crennel said, "That's all it took!" when a reporter asked him about that last month.
