nfl.com has an interesting set of videos called "N if L" describing different scenarios if some pivotal moment in NFL didnt happen, how the NFL would be different. I was watching one of these and it unexpectedly involved the chiefs. However they only scratched the surface of how different the chiefs would look today. Lets see how that would truely change our franchise



The video in question is about David Tyree's helmet catch in the superbowl vs the pats. He says the pats would have won the superbowl, opening the season in 08 vs a team other than the Chiefs. Bernard Pollard dosen't blow out Brady's knee and continues on how the pats make it to the next superbowl vs the Cardinals. But thats all he says about the Chiefs. I find that interesting. I will take the next step. Obviously if Brady dosen't go down, Cassel stays where he belongs....the bench. The Chiefs dont make their trade for him and the Broncos do not attempt to either. Meaning Jay Cutler would still be in Denver. Meaning Marshal would still be in Denver. Would McDaniels still be in Denver? Manning wouldnt be in Denver this year but back to the Chiefs. The Chiefs still suck in 08 and King Carl and Herm are still swapped for Pioli and Haley. They need a QB so who do they get? Do we draft Mark Sanchez instead of Tyson Jackson? if so, what do the Jets do then? I dont remember the QB Free agent scene in 09 but would there be something there? Does Haley stick with Thigpen? I hate to admit it but I'd rather have Cassel. We suck in 09 and the 2010 draft is essentially the same (I hope). Do we win the division in 10? I dont know if sanchez has 2010 season Cassel had. So do we draft a QB in 2011? Ponder? Dalton? Very interesting to think about how one moment can have such an impact.
