This has been building up for some time so bear with me. The latest articles implies that the Chiefs have, once again, not tried to upgrade the QB position. Now before you read on, note that I don't think Cassel is our long term answer, Quinn isn't even on Cassel's level and I haven't seen Stanzi do anything at all.
I am just sick and tired of the constant "no thought" journalism. There always seems to be an article out there on how the chiefs are NOT trying to upgrade the QB position . . . BS!!! Do they actually think we have passed up on better QB's? Perhaps we didn't draft another QB because they weren't good enough?? (sarcasm)
For whatever reason, Manning didn't even want to talk with us and after RG3, no one in the draft was worth it! I have to say that I honestly believe that Pioli is one of the smartest executives in the NFL. He's not blind to Cassel's issues and he's not going to keep him around at the expense of winning.
This past draft told me that they think pretty highly of Stanzi or they would have picked up another developmental QB (I'm not yet a fan like many others simply because he hasn't done anything yet!).
I'd like to see what you think . . .
In Pioli we trust!
