Mock Draft 3.0

Hey Chief nation,

Ive done a lot of thinking and i think the draft that I will present will cover our needs right now and help greatly in the future. I also added alternates as well just in case our pick is not available. ***For round 7 i did not include alternate picks. ***So enough said lets get it done.

Round 1- DAVID DECASTRO OG Stanford- This pick is almost a sure thing, this guy has tremendous ability and will become the next Steve Hutchinson, maybe even pass him. He will provide a huge improvement on the O-Line, running game and passing game.

Round 1 alternate- LUKE KUECHLY LB Boston College- This guy is a tackling machine and a 3 down backer. He provides excellent improvement and depth at this position.

Round 2- JAYRON HOSLEY CB Virginia Tech- With the guard position adressed, improving the secondary should be priority number 2. This guy is a natural ballhawk with great speed, movement and ability. He also could help in return game and special team. This guy get overlooked.

Round 2 alternate- KEVIN ZEITLER OG Wisconsin- If we, for whatever reason dont grab DeCastro in the first round, Zeitler should be our OG.

Round 3- JOSH CHAPMAN NT Alabama- With Ta'amu off the board this is the next real best Nose tackle. Playing for Alabama means you are talented and have great work ethic, i think this pick would be a great one.

Round 3 alternate- TRUMAINE JOHNSON CB/FS Montana- This guy can play pretty much anywhere int he secondary and is good at those positions, he could provide secondary help.

Round 4- NICHOLAS JEAN-BAPTISTE DT Baylor- This guy is a monster and is almost impossible to stop when he bull rushes. He is great with the double team and double gap. Would help us tremendously.

Round 4 alternate- PHILIP BLAKE C Baylor- We need a backup for Hudson if Weigmann decides not to come back. This guy is a great pickup.

Round 5- TERRENCE GANAWAY FB/RB Baylor- This guy is a change of pace back, he could be used in a similar way as Le'ron McClain was used last year. He could be a lead blocker as well as a short yardage back.

Round 5 alternate- DEVIER POSEY WR Ohio State- This reciever missed 10 games of his senior year due to NCAA violations. On tape he was very productive in his junior season and his few games on the senior year, he was very productive. He has soft hands and is a great blocker in space. High reward low risk with this pick.

Round 6- GARTH GERHART C Arizona State- We need a center to have some sort of backup, this guy has potential and ability to learn. He is quite good when he pulls out and created good holes for the running game. He is not very good pass blocking but could learn.

Round 6 alternate- DARRON THOMAS QB Oregon- We need a more athletic QB just in case we decide to use wildcat or some sort of offensive plays that need an athletic QB, this guy could do it.

Round 7A- JEFF ALLEN OT Illinois- We could use some depth at OT and this guy could be the guy. Is an avergae player but could improve.

Round 7B- TREVOR GUYTON DT Cal- This guy is big at 6'3 285 lb and is disruptive could help out a lot.
