Recently Dwayne Bowe was asked about his contract with the team and he said it's just business. I wasn't encouraged by his remarks about his long term tenure with the KC Chief's. I've had thoughts that he wants to go to a bigger media market and cash in on business opportunities which are not viable here. I still remember the Bowe Show, and think he wants to resurrect it, but I could be wrong with these assumptions. So IF he wants out can we trade his rights before the draft to a WR needy team?

With Calvin Johnson's mega deal in Detroit the money is starting to get unreal for wideouts. I think Bowe wants some and I cannot blame him for that. If we look at the draft board there are a few teams who are wanting receiver help. Would they be interested in Bowe, a proven performer at the big league level already, or would they take a chance on a rookie to come in and be a big time performer from the gitgo? Other than the kid in Cincy-AJ Green, who was a stud WR who came into the league and played well from the start?

So the Vikings are rumoured to be waiving the third overall pick around, Cleveland desperately needs a big play man to help Colt McCoy, Jacksonville and St.Louis the same for their young QB's. Would Pioli even be interested in trading up? I think so, as the talent in this draft is basically 7 deep, before it turns into the all things being equal for the next 3 dozen picks or so. There is an OT, CB, G, Pass Rusher/LB and RB. Some think a certain DL prospect fits into this equation as well. All could help our team and a certain emphasis on a couple to really help us take that leap into the promised land.

I haven't always been a big supporter of Bowe, but he is showing up full time these last couple of years and has value to the team. But at what cost, something Pioli seems to have boundaries for. Both Blackmon and Floyd are good looking prospects, yet are unproven and some scouts have reservations about the upside of both. Then you have to figure the dynamics of the trade, something I am readily admitting to have zero knowledge of. How much would a trade into the top ten take? If we gave Bowe then there is no way I would offer any of our top 100 picks. Would there be value then, cause the whole idea is to get something for Bowe now, while we can before he leaves. Just something to think about and discuss on a slow football lacking day. Go Chief's!!!
