Lookin at the O with Daboll

I was just a sitting here a thinking about what we might look like as an offense this upcoming season now that Haley has left, and as we have a new Offensive Coordinator in Brian Daboll. It has been said that he adjusts to the skillset of his players, and it just so happens we have some guys who can play. I am a lazy man with a computer which precludes me listing, graphing or picturing things. Truthfully I lack skills with these appliances and don't seem to learn new tricks.

Unless I am mistaken, I still don't see much change in what actually the game planning churns out since we still don't have the speed burner on the outside. So I expect to see a very similar attack, albeit with a different wrinkle or two which Coach Daboll is known for. Without a burner to stretch the field, completed passes or not, the defense will still be attacking the box. Our run game with Peyton Hillis should demand this until Jamaal Charles is subbed in and the edges will be watched closely.

This is where the the fun begins, putting Jamaal or Dex in the same backfield with Hillis, will put plenty of pressure on the defense. Toss in the Boss as an extra TE along with Moeaki, and the defense will be watching the short game which we played mostly the last few years. But we have Breaston and Baldwin, with Bowe to open up the middle game with the medium pass attack. I would think the pressure we apply with all these skilled players will be enough to keep them on their heels wondering what's coming, from where. If we get a speed merchant in this draft to test and tire the edge defenders we may have the makings of an offensive juggegrnaut. I am really excited by all this talent that has been brought in and hope the new coach can bring it all together. Go Chief's!!
