The Kansas City Chiefs have another undrafted free agent signing and this time the player is local -- Tysyn Hartman out of Kansas State. He's a safety prospect who went undrafted in this weekend's draft. The signing is unofficial until the Chiefs confirm it later this weekend.

The Chiefs knew they wanted to add some safety depth heading into the draft. Hartman will be given a chance to be that depth this offseason. The odds are against him but there's always the hope that you can make your mark on special teams, too.

The Chiefs attended the K-State pro day so they saw him work out there. We're not sure of any visits or other points of contact between Hartman and the Chiefs.

By the way, Hartman is a team captain.
