The draft is today. I am not sure what I am more excited about; the number 11 pick or the brief end to mock draft season. It’s inevitable that the “experts” will put out their 2013 mock drafts as soon as this draft is complete, but I hope AP can show at least some restraint. The regulars and the lurkers will probably agree that after a million mock draft posts, we need to take a break and talk about other things. So here are some things that should happen before another mock draft is posted on AP.

…OTAs.

…training camp.

…regular season starts.

…our glorious leader gets hitched.

…both the Royals and the Cubs are mathematically eliminated from the playoffs.

…a Presidential election.

…a playoff win.

…5 discussions of the best BBQ place in KC should take place.

…HIV purchases 50 new records from artists 99% of us have never heard of.

…stores put out Christmas decorations.

…MN depletes the world’s supply of parentheses.

…upamtn depletes the world’s supply of hot air.

…Texas Chief depletes the world’s supply of bad contractors.

…hmills writes a book in comment form.

…Skitzo creates 3 new accounts…

…and Skitzo gets himself banned at least 3 more times.

…chiefsandcigars smokes at least 30 cigars and downs 10 bottles of scotch.
