The 2012 NFL schedule is set to be released at 6:00 p.m. (Arrowhead Time) tonight but already there are a few early leaks and rumors on the schedule. Unfortunately, I haven't come across any leaks that involve the Chiefs.
A few of the early schedule rumors as we await the official release:
- Steelers vs. Broncos in Week 1. On Sunday night, no less. So the Chiefs won't be playing Peyton Manning and the Broncos in Week 1 but we do know they'll be playing them in two of the other 15 weeks.
- Giants entire schedule leaked early. Impressive work by the Newark Star-Ledger.
- Packers host 49ers in Week 1. If this game doesn't make primetime status...then this will be a hell of a TV lineup in Week 1.
- Bengals vs. Ravens in the first Monday night game. There are usually two Monday night games in Week 1 -- an early one and a late/west coast one -- and one report says the Bengals and Ravens will be playing in the first one.
- The Patriots have four primetime games. They actually announced this themselves.
