I have asked this before on other threads but have not gotten any thoughts back on it. So, I pose this question here to maybe get some insight. Why do so many people have Tannehill as a lock for Miami? It does not make sense to me at all.

Mike Sherman is the new OC in Miami. Many would say that makes it a lock but I think that is a poor conclusion. The fact is Mike Sherman placed Tannehill 3rd on the depth chart repeatedly, moved him to WR even and only went to Tannehill after injury to the other starters before Tannehill on the roster. It was not until Tannehill's senior season that Sherman made Tannehill the starter at the beginning of the season and I think that has more to do with the two guys ahead of him leaving the year before.

Then ... to top it all off, Tannehill is also a contributing factor (and I believe a large one) to the fact that Sherman was fired at the end of the year!! Would he really want to be tied to Tannehill in the NFL given the history there?

This has nothing to do with the Chiefs taking Tannehill. I have said many times I do not like that pick at all. I am just curious why Miami seems to be the collective "lock" for him.
