Chiefs Give Away Nike Jerseys To Season Ticket Holder Accounts

Stay connected for news and updates

Late last week I heard from a friend who heard from a friend who talked to a guy out by the bathroom who overheard someone saying that something was going on at Arrowhead on Monday. In reality, a red coater tipped me off that the Chiefs were planning some sort of announcement over the weekend. I just didn't know what that announcement was. I scoured my brain for what that might be, thinking it could be related to the NFL schedule, which is rumored to be announced this week.

But, no, it wasn't anything like that -- it was free jerseys. The Chiefs announced over the weekend that every season ticket holder account will receive a personalized Nike jersey.

"This is a great opportunity for us to say thank you to our fans for the support they have given us," said Head Coach Romeo Crennel. "The season is just around the corner, and I'm really looking forward to seeing our fans out there in that Sea of Red cheering us on."

This isn't something every team is doing which impresses me even more. Very cool thing for the Chiefs to do because those jerseys aren't cheap.

What name are you going to get on the back? Someone's gotta rep Bobby Sippio.
