I was digging through some old clothes at my parents the other day and wouldn't you know what I found, but this same Chiefs turtle neck Marty is wearing in the picture above. It was way too big for me back then and, unfortunately, it's now too small.
The picture was taken on December 14, 1991 -- a game the Chiefs lost to the 49ers, 28-14.
Is this one of the most 1990s outfits? The turtle neck, of course. The windbreaker type of jacket with so much yellow (all the yellow!).
You could also feature the Chiefs Starter jacket, but only the rich folks in my neighborhood had those though. Weren't they over $100? In the early 1990s? Seems pretty steep but they were the shit.
I think the only thing that could top this would be one of those old-school Chiefs posters. Maybe the "Tribe" one (if you still have it, post a picture in the comments). Or one of those milk campaigns. There also seems to be a lack of denim here as well.
What's everyone up to on this Friday afternoon? I'm obviously looking through old Chiefs photos.
