Take a deep breathe. It'll be fine.
The worst case scenario for the Chiefs would be if the Browns and Dolphins began to think that Ryan Tannehill could slip past the Chiefs or Seahawks and take a Blue Chip prospect early. If 3 quarterbacks go in the Top 10, that leaves the Chiefs in the perfect position where a player has slipped through the cracks.
If the Browns take Tannehill at 3 (trade up) or 4 -
Colts. Luck
Skins. RGII
Vikings. Kalil
Browns. Tannehill
***Buccs ----- > Claiborne or Richardson. For argument sake... let's go with Richardson.
Rams. Justin Blackmon.
Jags ---> Claiborne vs Ingram vs Coples. Jags need a pass rusher. Lets go with Coples.
Miami - Melvin Ingram. Wake is asking for Suggs money. Probably doesn't deserve it.
Panthers. Fletcher Cox.
Bills. Riley Reiff
Chiefs -----> Claiborne drops to 11. Do we take the top 5 prospect?
If he doesn't Ingram, Coples, or Cox would be here. The Seahawks would obviously STEP on a Landmine to be in the position to get one of the top 3 pass rushing DEs/DTs. The Chiefs would be in a perfect scenario to trade this pick back to where they want because they obviously don't need a 4-3 Rusher.
Other Scenario MIAMI trades up.
Colts. Luck
Redskins. RGIII
MIAMI TRADES to Minnesota - Tannehill
RAMS trade to Cleveland - Kalil (the Rams give up a 2nd in a heart beat to get a premiere OT... Cleveland wants to jump back into the 1st to take a QB like Osweiler or Stanton)
BUCCS - Trent Richardson
Browns - Morris Claiborne
Jaguars - Coples
Minnesota - Reily Reiff
Carolina - Fletcher Cox
Buffalo - Jon Martin
Chiefs - Justin Blackmon still on Board. Trade could be made to Jets, Cardinals, Bears. Didn't Dallas trade big for Dez Bryant?
Am I saying that this is 100%. No. But Pioli/Chiefs could add value to the 11 overall pick if this would happen.
