Luke Kuechly vs Dont'a Hightower

Just a couple videos of the two top ILBs coming out for the NFL draft. After watching these videos you should hopefully have a little better idea about them, if you haven't already watched these guys.

Things to focus on while watching these:

1. Alabama's defense is light years better than Boston College

2. Look at the yards the offense gets when one of these two LB's make the tackle

3. How fast the two prospects run in actual game

4. Ability to shed blockers

5. Pressure on the QB

In my opinion: These two ILB are almost complete opposites. Kuechly is a guy that can chase guys down the bounce out side, catch a screen, etc.. Hightower is a inside run stopper, sheds blockers, and gets to the QB often when blitzed. Speed: Kuechly wins. Tackling: Hightower wins. Coverage: Tie. Everybody harps on how great Kuechly's coverage is but i dont see anything elite about his coverage skills. For the Chiefs, i believe Hightower would fit the defense a hell of a lot better.

That's just my opinion though. You can be your own judge....
