Some of you may not know what WhatIf sports is. It's a sports simulator in which you can pit any two teams throughout history against one another, and a special simulator will show who would win in a matchup. If you want to try it out, here's the link: http://www.whatifsports.com/nfl/.
I've added Peyton Manning to the Broncos roster, and Hillis, Boss, and Quinn to ours. Unfortunately the simulator doesn't let us add individual offensive linemen to the roster (only whole offensive lines), and we can't add draft picks, either. But nevermind that, let's get on to the games.
Let's see how it goes
Game 1: Broncos win 31-14, on a nice, 70 degree day in KC. Manning passes for 289 yards and 3 TD's while Lance Ball supplies the rest. Manning gets MVP. The Chiefs supposedly dominant running game is shut down.
Game 2: Chiefs take it over this time 38-14, on a cold 50 degree, rainy windy day in Mile High. Jamaal runs for 166 yards on 24 carries, along with another 122 yards on 20 carries by Hillis. Dex has two carries for 14 yards. Cassel throws two TD's and a pick, along with 276 yards. Jamaal gets MVP with 3 additional TD's, 2 rushing 1 receiving.
Game 3: It's a hot, 85 degree day in Arrowhead, and KC prevails in a very exciting game, 24-23. Broncos start out in front, with a 91-yard pass to Eric Decker and another 24 yard run by Knowshon Moreno. But KC's defense steps up, holding them to three field goals in the second half. Matt Cassel puts on his try hard pants as well, lobbing up a 24 yard pass to D-Bowe for a TD, and after a few Succop field goals, Matt Cassel throws a 9-yard pass to Hillis for the game-winning score with 20 seconds left. Cassel gets MVP with 303 yards and 2 TD's. Manning gets 297 yards and 1 TD.
Game 4: It's 10 degrees in Denver, and snow is swinging around the air like a cold whip. Denver prevails 17-10 in a defensive slugfest, as Manning is sacked a solid 7 TIMES, three times by Justin Houston. Willis McGahee has 2 TD's and 103 yards, and Kevin Boss comes through with a 34 yard TD. McGahee gets MVP.
Game 5: 75 degrees and there's a light rain. KC wins 35-28, in KC style. Peyton Hillis showed up today especially, as Jamaal was largely ineffective (15 carries, 45 yards). Broncos show up early, with 3 Peyton Manning TD's to Decker and Thomas. But Peyton Hillis runs for 2 TD's in the 3rd (9 and 18 yards). Dexter McCluster gets an 11 yard reception in the 4th quarter, but the Broncos strike back with a 38 yard INT reception by Champ Bailey. With 12 seconds left on the clock, Tony Mo gets a TD reception for 9 yards. Hillis gets MVP with 31 rushes or 188 yards and 2 TD's.
Game 6: Rain and wind are coming down hard in KC as wins 35-24. Jamaal runs for two TD's and 145 yards on 19 carries, and Matt Cassel, despite getting only 150 yards passing he throws for 3 TD's to Bowe, McCluster and Moeaki. Manning throws for a mere 210 yards and 1 TD.
Game 7: Perfect day, 65 degrees no wind or rain in Denver. Broncos prevail 20-3. KC does virtually nothing as does the Denver run game, but Manning throws for 332 yards and 2 TD's. Manning gets MVP.
Game 8: Another cold, snowy, windy day. This time in KC wins in a blowout, 45-24. Due to the weather, both passing attacks were virtually useless. KC gets 282 yards on the ground, 202 of which coming from Jamaal (along with 3 TD's), 75 of which coming from Hillis (one 47 yard TD) and the rest by Cassel (1 TD running, 1 TD passing to Bowe). Go Chiefs!
Game 9: An unseasonably warm day in Denver at 90 degrees. Denver wins 20-7. Manning throws for 2 TD's and 296 yards (MVP). Aside from 1 TD pass to Steve Breaston, the only thing Cassel did was throw 3 INT's.
Game 10: It's a bitter, cold January game (Is it a playoff game, AFC Championship? Perhaps.), and maybe the last of Manning's career. No snow, just a biting cold wind. The game starts out as expected, with KC's devastating ground assault going for 3 unanswered TD's (Two by McCluster, 1 by Charles). But Denver strikes back with an almost equally dominant running game, as Lance Ball and McGahee run all the way downfield for a score on two occasions. The Chiefs offense is shut down again as DMC fumbles on a handoff. Denver then gets a TD by Manning to Daniel Fells. KC's got the ball and 2nd play from the 20, Hillis rumbles 40 yards. Next, Jamaal goes 13 yards. Hillis is shut down 3 times in a row, and the Chiefs must go for a field goal. And finally, Succop boots one in for the score. Chiefs win 24-21 in a game in which the two quarterbacks had a combined 137 yards passing and the two teams had a combined 436 yards rushing. Dex gets MVP with 17 attempts for 153 yards and 2 TD's.
Kansas City wins 6 of the 10 times. GO CHIEFS!
