Free Agent thoughts.

As all the fun stuff about being the teams GM frequents the blogosphere lately, I had this idea that we should look at which AFC Teams will be playing in the next playoff scenario, teams projected to make it, and raid the rosters for our aquisitions. With some many cap casualties and a full market at most positions it stands to reason that we are in a very good position to purchase talent. So why not get a two-fer, double down so to speak. Help us and hurt them.

Teams like the Jets who have a NT, and the Texans with a Center. The Bengals have an interesting OT who has very little starting experience but may blossom with playing time. Not sure that we would raid the Patriots with the close ties that exist between the GM's. The Steelers have been paring the roster and we would have to see what was available for our needs. RB might be addressed within our own division with Tolbert from the Chargers or Bush from the raiders (side note; if you ever see me capitalize the team from the Bay area from our division- Bitch Slap me Please!)

So there are some interesting possibilities this off season to do our team some good and the competition some harm. Unlike the Saints and the bounty, this is within the rules of the league and has happened before. I wonder if Scotty has this as part of his agenda when looking at players who help our team. Personally I really want the Center from the Texans as it would fill a big need and let Hudson give some competition at the G spot, may the best man win. Go Chiefs!!
