Manning in the AFC West changes Chiefs draft

Up until now I have been focusing on the Chiefs need to improve the QB, O-line and front seven areas of the team. With Manning now in the division, the signing of Winston, and all of the good options gone at QB, I am reconsidering the Chiefs goals for rounds one and two.

Here is what we need to see: Trent Richardson falling to us at #11. If that happens, we will have a trade partner with Cincy for their two #1's which are at 17 and 22.

We take that trade down and draft the best available at ILB, CB, or G. I like Dennard (CB from Nebraska) and Hightower (ILB from Alabama.)

I wouldn't have had CB as a need before the Manning signing but looking at the number of great QB's on our schedule, you can't have enough coverage, Dennard is tough so he will be able to go inside and help out with TE's and slot receivers, and Hightower will provide us a true thumper for the run game plus still has the speed to provide help in coverage. Then in the second round we come back for a Guard or DE where a number of very good prospects are expected to be. Round 3 I think we are looking or another TE, S and depth on either line.
