Brady Quinn Will Provide 'Quality Depth', Chiefs Say

Stay connected for news and updates

The Kansas City Chiefs agreed to terms with two players over the weekend in free agency -- RT Eric Winston and QB Brady Quinn. We've already heard from the Chiefs on Winston's signing now it's time to hear what they have to say about Quinn.

Chiefs head coach Romeo Crennel noted that he has prior experience with Quinn from their time together with the Cleveland Browns.

"I had the opportunity to work with Brady in Cleveland and I can tell you he is a true professional," said Crennel. "He is a veteran player who knows how to study and prepare for game days and you can count on him to always go out there and give you his best, whether that be on the practice field or on Sundays."

"Brady is another solid addition for our team," said Pioli. "In Brady, we have added another good football player who will increase competition and provide quality depth."

For his part, Quinn said in a Monday conference call that the Chiefs told him that Cassel is the starting quarterback. Pioli's statement on providing "depth" confirms that Cassel is likely the starting quarterback next seasons.
