Remember when Peyton Manning was going to make his decision before free agency started?

Yeah, that never happened, which is why I'm skeptical of the latest reports that he'll be choosing his next team by early next week. According to NFL Network's Albert Breer, Manning has started informing teams he will make his decision by Monday or Tuesday.

The finalists, as far as we know, are the Denver Broncos, Tennessee Titans and San Francisco 49ers. He's already worked out for the Broncos and 49ers. The Titans workout is reportedly coming today.

Yesterday at this time there were only two teams in the race that we knew of -- Titans and Broncos. The 49ers were the surprise addition yesterday afternoon.
