KANSAS CITY, MO - DECEMBER 24: Wide receiver Terrance Copper #10 of the Kansas City Chiefs gets tackled after making a catch by linebacker Kamerion Wimbley #96 of the Oakland Raiders during the first half on December 24, 2011 at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri. The Oakland Raiders have informed Kamerion Wimbley he will be released, according to multiple reports. In typical Raider fashion, they signed him to a big deal last year -- five years, $48 million -- and now they're cutting him.

Wimbley is now the No. 1 pass rusher on the free agent market. There's a little bit of intrigue with the Chiefs considering Romeo Crennel was head coach of the Cleveland Browns when they drafted him but I'm not really sure if Wimbley makes a ton of sense right now, at least not with the money he'll get in free agency. Don't get me wrong -- I'll take as many pass rushers as you can get -- but I kinda like what the Chiefs have going on right now with Tamba Hali and Justin Houston.

The Chiefs have already dipped into the dark side twice this year, picking up Stanford Routt and Kevin Boss. Any interest in a third time?
