Hello Chiefs Nation! I am a desperate Chiefs fan in need of help, so I am reaching out my Chiefs family! Just like Joel, I’m currently engaged and trying to get everything lined up for our May 19th, 2012 wedding. Most everything is in order, but there is one, crucial, must-need detail yet to be planned.
When I proposed to my amazing fiancé (who is also a huge Chiefs fan) back in April of last year, there was one thing I immediately knew I had to have for the wedding. It has always been my dream to leave the church in style, and the only way I can think of doing that is pulling out of the parking lot in a custom Chiefs tailgating bus! Forget the limos, forget the trolleys, I want to do something that none of my guests have seen!
The problem with this situation is that we just moved to Wichita in June, and we know very few die-hard Chiefs fans, let alone anyone! As you can imagine, you don’t see many Chiefs buses driving around on Sundays, so trying to track one down has been nearly impossible.
However, I might add, we actually did see one in Goddard one day, and after a 5 mile chase with our lights flashing and arms flailing, we were able to stop the bus and talk to the driver. We gave him our contact information to pass on to the owner of the bus (he had borrowed it for the weekend), but we never heard back.
I thought this dream of mine may actually come true, but after 5 months of not hearing back, I don’t think it’s going to happen.
So this is where you come in, Chiefs Nation. We need your help, and we need it fast! If you, or anyone you know, has a Chiefs tailgating bus that needs to be shown off for all of Wichita to see, please, PLEASE let me know as soon as you can! All we ask is for our wedding party to be taken from our ceremony site to our reception site, with a little bit of fun mixed in the middle! It won’t be a long ride (1 hour tops), you get to show off your Chiefs bus, and we will pay whatever it takes! Please help me get this post viewed by any and all Chiefs fans out there, as it may lead to us completing our final (but arguably one of the most important) detail for our wedding!
Thank you for your time, and GO CHIEFS!!!!
